Bird flu is present in many European countries

Recent reports from the World Organization for Animal Health OIE indicate a surge in bird flu infections across Europe, with outbreaks observed in Germany, Ireland, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Belgium, Slovakia, and Switzerland. The outbreaks are predominantly on poultry farms, with Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia region experiencing severe impacts among turkey farms. The infection has also been detected in wild birds, highlighting the widespread nature of the outbreak.
