Bird flu outbreak detected in Togo

/TASS/. An outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza has been reported in West Africa. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the World Organization for Animal Health. The outbreak of the H5N1 virus was found in a poultry farm near Togo's capital, Lome, where 1,450 birds died from bird flu. Previously, two outbreaks of avian influenza with the H7 strain were registered in the east of South Africa.
