Poland's Chief Veterinary Inspectorate has reported a new outbreak of bird flu, marking the 45th outbreak this year and the tenth in November. The outbreak was confirmed on a commercial farm in Głębokie, Lubartów district, Lublin Province, where 19,282 slaughter turkeys were kept. The H5N1 bird flu virus subtype has been detected in all outbreaks this year, with the total number of affected poultry reaching 3,101,803 since October. This is the third outbreak in recent months in the Głębokie area, and the tenth this month, with the majority of outbreaks found in Wielkopolska and Lower Silesia provinces.
