Zimbabwe's blueberry exports have seen a significant growth, reaching 5.5 thousand tons in just 7 years, making it the fastest growing blueberry industry in the world. However, the country is struggling to achieve its target of 30 thousand tons by 2030 due to insufficient investment, unfavorable currency policies, and high borrowing costs. Despite these challenges, the country's geographical location allows for reliable exporting to the EU and the UK. The success of Zimbabwe's horticultural plans also relies heavily on the availability of water, and the country is combating climate change by improving water management and storage.
