State-owned oil palm plantation company, PTPN IV PalmCo, plans to rejuvenate 60 thousand hectares of old oil palm plantations owned by farmers by 2026, as part of its commitment to support the government's program to increase palm oil productivity. The company will also provide certified seeds and strengthen human resources for partner farmers. Meanwhile, a new Minister of Agriculture Regulation is being drafted to unify various aspects of the palm oil industry, aiming to simplify verification processes and improve access to assistance from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS). The success of the program is expected to be influenced by collaboration with PTPN IV PalmCo.
