Okra, a vegetable with numerous health benefits, is widely consumed and cultivated in Indonesia, particularly in the Riau Islands. It is also a staple in Singapore's diet. The Riau Islands are seeking to improve Okra quality to meet export standards to Singapore, using clay soil and providing technical guidance to farmers. The vegetable requires adequate plant nutrients and sufficient irradiation for growth. The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Batam and private entrepreneurs offer to facilitate transportation of agricultural commodities, including Okra, to neighboring countries.
