The Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária de Brazil has released the "Acompanhamento da Safra Brasileira– Grãos-safra 2022/23 – 4º Levantamento" report, highlighting an increase in cultivation area and production for the 2022/23 grain harvest. The total cultivation area has grown by 3.4% to 77.1 million hectares, and production has increased by 14.5% to 310.9 million tonnes. The report emphasizes record-breaking production in soja, milho, and trigo, attributing the increase in production to improved productivity rather than expansion of cultivation areas, due to innovative technologies and advancements in agriculture. Notable crops include soja, milho, trigo, algodão, arroz, feijão, amendoim, girassol, mamona, aveia-branca, canola, cevada, triticale, and centeio. The production estimates for these crops range from 10.4 to 153.2 million tonnes.
