The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, met on Thursday (18) with the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, André de Paula, to discuss the resumption of Brazilian fish exports to the European Union. The federal government, through the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPA), has been taking a series of measures with a view to reopening the European market. “This reopening is a priority for us. We await with expectation the audit of the Brazilian fish processing plants, scheduled for the first half of 2026, an essential step for the resumption of this market,” highlighted Minister Carlos Fávaro. “We have decided to create an interministerial working group, with the support of the Sectoral Chamber of Fish Production and Industry.
