The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) has engaged in discussions with a Cameroonian delegation about enhancing bilateral partnerships and revitalizing the cocoa industry. This meeting is a precursor to a 2024 visit to Brazil by Cameroonian technicians and researchers, aimed at understanding Brazil's cocoa production models and sustainable farming practices. The insights gained from this visit will be used to formulate new cooperation proposals and update the existing sectoral agreement, underscoring the importance of sustainable cocoa production and strengthening the global cocoa sector, given Brazil and Cameroon's leading roles in cocoa production.
