The Brazilian government has approved the export of corn, sorghum, brachiaria, and soybean seeds to Gabon, marking a significant expansion in agricultural trade between the two countries. This approval is part of Brazil's broader strategy to open 269 new markets in 61 countries since 2023, aiming to boost its agribusiness sector. Gabon, a growing market for Brazilian agricultural products, has already imported over US$49 million worth of Brazilian agricultural goods in the first nine months of this year, surpassing the 2023 figures. The partnership between Brazil and Gabon is facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), highlighting their commitment to promoting international agricultural partnerships and expanding Brazil's global export reach.
