Brazil begins soybean harvest with delays and quality issues, but maintains record projection

The soybean harvest in Brazil began with delays and some difficulties linked to excessive rainfall, especially in the northern part of the state of Mato Grosso, although the production projections remain at record levels for the campaign. This was pointed out by the agricultural engineer Ismael Turbán, director of Sumar Agro, who is participating in Agro en Punta and closely follows the evolution of the regional market. In Valor Agregado on radio Carve and Oriental Agropecuaria, Turbán indicated that the harvest progress is still in its initial stages, with Mato Grosso as the main focus of activity. However, the intense precipitation recorded in various regions has complicated the tasks and affected the quality of the first batches collected. “It is raining a lot and that is bringing difficulties in the harvest, especially in northern Mato Grosso.
