In 2023, Brazilian mango exports hit a record high, generating around US$315 million in revenue, up from US$249 million in 2021. This was largely due to crop failures in other countries and the ability to produce mangoes year-round in the São Francisco Valley, despite a slight decrease in national production. The majority of these exports came from the Northeast region, particularly the São Francisco Valley. Internationally, the main markets are the European Union, especially the Netherlands, followed by the United States, Spain, the UK, and Portugal. The company Agrodan saw a significant increase in revenue and profit, with a 40% growth in its average selling price and annual profit.
