The Brazilian cotton production forecast was updated by the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers (Abrapa) during the month of September. The new estimate predicts a production of 4.11 million tons for the 2024/2025 crop, an increase of 11.1% compared to the previous harvest. The area planted with the crop in the country will increase by 10.4% in relation to the 2023/2024 cycle, reaching 2.147 million hectares. With the closing of the 2024/2025 commercial year, on July 31, Brazil confirmed its position as the largest global exporter for the second time in history.
