The Brazilian government has announced a significant milestone in its trade relations with the Philippines, with the approval for exporting frozen pork mesentery and jowls, crucial components in sausages and processed foods. This development solidifies the Philippines as the largest market for Brazilian pork in 2023, enhancing bilateral trade and demonstrating a commitment to boosting exports. In addition to pork products, Brazil expects to expand its exports to the Philippines in 2024 with tilapia fingerlings, animal recycling products, and ornamental fish. This announcement is part of a broader strategy by Brazil to expand its agricultural market access, having opened 283 new markets in 62 countries since 2023, with 205 in 2024, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
