Brazil expands imports of fertilizers in 2025

The volume of fertilizers imported by Brazil registered a decline in November 2025, according to official data from the Brazilian government. According to an analysis by StoneX, a global financial services company, the movement is typical for this time of year and follows the historical seasonal pattern of national purchases. In the month, the country imported around 3.3 million tons of the main products, a volume lower than that observed between August and October. "The behavior of imports in 2025 is aligned with the historical record: the largest volumes occur in the months preceding the summer crop. As the year progresses, especially in the end of the second semester, it is natural to see a slowdown," explains Tomás Pernías, Market Intelligence Analyst at StoneX.
