Brazil has received authorization to export pork to Bhutan, marking the second market in the Asian country to open to Brazilian agribusiness in six months, following poultry exports. In 2023, Bhutan's imports of Brazilian products nearly doubled to over US$3.33 million. This opening reflects the quality and safety of Brazilian agricultural products, a view shared by 50 countries, 42 of which have recently opened their markets to Brazilian agribusiness during President Lula's third term. This achievement is due to the collaborative efforts of Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
