The global wheat market is expected to face challenges such as high grain prices and potential crop failures due to climate change in 2024. These challenges and prospects were discussed in a webinar organized by the Brazilian Wheat Industry Association (Abitrigo). The webinar highlighted the importance of strategic information sharing for decision-making in the wheat production chain. It was predicted that Brazil may need to import wheat due to scarcity and restrict exports for the 2024/25 harvest. The global supply and demand scenario was also discussed, with a note on the impact of economic policies and the rapid correction of inflation in Argentina.
