Brazilian coffee exports have surged to record levels, with 28.1 million bags shipped in the first seven months of 2024, a 46.3% increase from the same period in 2023. July alone saw a 25.7% rise in shipments, and foreign exchange revenue grew by 47.9%. Arabica coffee remains the most exported type, while canephora coffee exports skyrocketed by 313.7%. The United States, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Japan are the top buyers, with significant increases in their imports. The UK and the EU also saw substantial growth in their imports, with the UK increasing purchases by 97.2% and the EU by 64.9%. Despite logistical challenges, Brazilian exporters are effectively meeting global demand, including notable increases in shipments to other coffee-producing countries like Ecuador and Vietnam.
