Brazil was one of the co-organizers of the 2nd Annual Conference on Combating Agricultural Burning in Southeast Asia and Solutions for Biomass Utilization, held on September 23 in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting was promoted by agricultural attaches from the embassies of Brazil, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands, in partnership with DLG Asia and with the support of international organizations. Representatives from governments, companies, research centers, and multilateral organizations from 20 countries participated in the program. The agricultural attaché in Bangkok, Ana Carolina Lamy, coordinated the panel "Mechanization and Innovation," which featured six experts. Embrapa researcher Vinicius Bof Bufon presented results on sustainable sugarcane harvesting and residue management.
