In March 2024, Brazil experienced a decline in its exports of fresh and processed products, with a total of 90.7 thousand tons, marking a 6.3% decrease from February 2024 and a 14.3% fall from March 2023, primarily due to reduced demand from key Asian markets such as China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Despite this monthly and yearly decline, the first quarter of 2024 saw a 5.3% increase in total export volume compared to the previous year, reaching 286 thousand tons and setting a new record since 1997. However, revenue for March 2024 dropped to R$ 953.2 million, a 6% decrease from the previous month and a significant 25.9% decrease from March 2023, with the quarterly revenue also experiencing an 11.8% year-on-year decline to R$ 2.9 billion.
