Slaughter of pigs increases in the 3rd quarter The slaughter of pigs totaled 15.81 million heads in the 3rd quarter of 2025, representing an increase of 5.3% compared to the same quarter of the previous year and an increase of 4.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2025. The accumulated weight of the carcasses registered 1.49 million tons in the 3rd quarter of 2025, an increase of 6.1% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2024 and an increase of 4.8% compared to the immediately preceding quarter.
