The integration between food security and energy security was the focus of the panel “Cultivating the Future: Food and Energy Security Walking Together”, held this Monday (10) at AgriZone, a space of Embrapa in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), during COP30, in Belém (PA). The general coordinator of Sustainability and Regulation of the Secretariat of Commerce and International Relations of Mapa (SCRI), Andrea Moura, represented the Ministry in the debate and highlighted Brazil's role as a global benchmark in sustainable production. During the panel, Andrea explained that food production and biofuel production in Brazil do not compete with each other, a result of the country's ability to integrate different production chains efficiently.
