Brazil sharply reduced soybean oil exports

Soybean oil exports from Brazil fell by 41% in September-November of this year, reaching a multi-year low of 153,000 tons, according to analysts at Oil World (Germany). However, by the end of 2025, Brazilian soybean oil exports will be virtually identical to last year’s figures—1.4 million tons versus 1.37 million tons. Shipments are declining primarily due to increased domestic demand, particularly following the introduction of the B15 mandate in August, the agency notes. At the same time, soybean oil production in Brazil will increase by only 0.4 million tons year-on-year, reaching 11.73 million tons.
