Brazil, the world's fourth-largest pork producer, has experienced a slowdown in production growth, with the USDA revising its forecast for 2024 from 3% to 1%. Despite this, pork exports have seen a 5% increase to 1.05 million tons from January to September 2024, making it the largest amount ever exported by Brazil. The main export destinations are China, the Philippines, Chile, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Brazil's price competitiveness, especially in Asian markets, is expected to continue benefiting its pork industry until the end of the year.
