In the first half of 2024, Brazil's beef exports saw a significant increase of 27.3% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 1.29 million tons and generating revenue of US$ 5.69 billion, the highest since 2022. Asia accounted for 52% of the market, with the Middle East and North Africa showing the largest increase in Brazilian beef shipments. The United Arab Emirates saw a 238% increase in imports. Fresh beef made up 87.7% of the volume shipped, with China being the largest importer. Brazil is working to expand into new markets and increase its global leadership in beef exports, with a focus on countries like Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Turkey.
