In May 2024, Brazil achieved a record in beef exports, shipping 240,622 tons and generating revenue of US$ 1.056 billion, marking the second consecutive month of increase. The United States, Chile, and the European Union saw a surge in imports, especially fresh meat, while China remains the largest market for Brazilian beef. From January to May 2024, Brazil's beef exports experienced significant growth, reaching 1.07 million tons and US$4.73 billion in revenue, with notable increases in shipments to China, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey. This growth is attributed to efforts in market strengthening, product diversification, and negotiations for better commercial opportunities by collaborations between various ministries and ApexBrasil.
