In July 2024, Brazilian coffee exports achieved significant milestones, with canephora (conilon + robusta) reaching the second highest monthly volume in history at 900,818 bags, marking an 82.2% increase from the previous year. Total exports for the month were 3.774 million bags, a 25.7% rise from July 2023. From January to July 2024, Brazil exported a record 28.146 million bags, a 46.3% increase from the same period in 2023, generating US$ 6.277 billion in revenue, a 50% increase. The United States was the largest importer, followed by Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Japan. Exports to the European Union, which accounted for 47.3% of total exports, grew by 64.9% ahead of the European Union Regulation for Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR) set to take effect in January 2025.
