Brazilian pork exports grow 4.7% in August

Brazil's pork exports, including both fresh and processed products, reached 118.1 thousand tons in August 2024, according to data from the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). The result represents a growth of 4.7% compared to the same month in 2023, when 112.8 thousand tons were shipped. This is the second largest monthly volume recorded by the sector. In terms of revenue, the increase was even more significant. Exports in August generated US$ 276.3 million, an increase of 9.1% compared to the US$ 253.1 million recorded in the same period last year. In reais, revenue reached R$ 1.534 billion, which represents an increase of 23.4% compared to the R$ 1.241 billion in August 2023, marking a historic record for the month.
