The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) forecasts a record year for poultry and pork production and exports in 2024, with chicken production expected to increase by 1.1% to 15 million tons, 9.7 million tons of which will be consumed domestically. Pork production is projected to increase by 3.8% to 5.35 million tons. Egg production is also expected to surge by 9.8% to 57.6 billion units in 2024. For 2025, the poultry sector expects to produce 15.3 million tons, with exports growing by 1.9%, and pork production is expected to grow by 2% to 5.45 million tons, with exports potentially increasing by 7.4%. The egg sector anticipates a 2.4% increase in production to 59 billion units.
