The Brazilian Sheep Breeders Association (Arco) recently met with ministry officials to discuss the future of the sheep and goat production sector in Brazil. Topics covered included the possibility of sheep and goats entering semen collection centers, genealogical registration, imports and exports, and the control of Scrapie disease. Arco is also looking into the potential of exporting genetic material to Colombia and expanding markets for sheep genetics.
