Brazilians consumed the equivalent of more than one million 60kg bags of soluble coffee in 2023

Domestic consumption of Brazilian soluble coffee grows for the sixth consecutive year and reaches a new record Brazilian production of soluble coffee in 2023 reached a volume equivalent to 4.75 million 60kg bags, a performance that makes Brazil the largest producer and exporter of this type of coffee in the world. Of the total soluble coffee produced by the country last year, 20% was destined for domestic consumption, equivalent to 1.05 million bags, a volume that represented an increase of 5.2% in relation to domestic consumption in 2022. And, in addition, the remaining 80%, 3.7 million bags, were destined for export to 98 countries, which represented a slight increase of 0.4% in relation to the volume exported in 2022.
