Between January and August 2024, Brazil experienced a notable increase in the value of its fruit exports, with mangoes and lemons seeing the highest growth despite challenges like adverse weather conditions that reduced the volume of some fruits. The total value of fruit exports rose by 8.51% to $1.2 billion, despite a 3.34% decrease in volume. Mango exports value soared by 46.19% to $215 million, while lemon and lime exports increased by 14.52% to $155.7 million. Melon exports also increased by 7.72% to over $102 million and volume by 12.92% to over 133,000 tons, indicating recovery from rain-related setbacks. On the other hand, grape exports experienced a significant drop of 48.79% in value and 54.32% in volume due to excessive rain affecting availability for export.
