In the first half of 2024, Brazil's soluble coffee exports increased by 3.3% to 1.91 million 60-kg bags, generating US$ 402.94 million, a 13.8% rise from the previous year. Spray-dried coffee dominated exports at 71.2%, followed by freeze-dried coffee at 23.4%. The main export markets were the United States, Indonesia, Russia, Argentina, and the Netherlands. Domestic consumption of instant coffee grew by 1.2% to 525.8 thousand bags, accounting for 36% of total trade, with 64% exported. The Brazilian Instant Coffee Report notes a 4.4% annual growth in the domestic market since 2016.
