The Brazilian Association for Animal Protein (ABPA) forecasts a growth in pork production and exports in the coming years. By 2024, pork production is expected to increase by 3.8-5.3% to 5.35 million tons, and pork exports by 9.8% to 1.35 million tons. In 2025, production is projected to grow by 2% to 5.45 million tons, and exports by 7.4% to 1.45 million tons. This growth is attributed to potential expansion of exports to China, development of new markets in Latin America, and high demand from the Philippines and Chile. Domestic pork sales are also expected to benefit from competitiveness and sustainable production costs.
