Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to China have seen significant growth, with a turnover of nearly 2.5 billion USD in the first 7 months of 2024. The country is set to officially import frozen durian, fresh coconut, and crocodile from Vietnam, contributing to the industry's projected growth of 15-20% or 6.5-7 billion USD. However, quality and traceability must be maintained to continue finding success in the Chinese market. Currently, 14 agricultural products are officially exported to China, with Vietnam surpassing Chile as the second-largest exporter of fruits and vegetables to China in 2023. The demand for durian in the Chinese market is expected to reach 20 billion USD by 2025, offering significant potential for Vietnamese durian exports.
