The official communication from the Office of the President of Argentina reports that the trade agreement reached with the government of Donald Trump includes a "significant expansion" of the quota for Argentine beef in the U.S. market. Although there are no specifics, it is assumed that this quota would increase from the current 20,000 tons to 80,000. If this is confirmed, it would be great news for Argentina and for the livestock and meat sector, with an additional income of 600 million dollars per year. This means an increase of about 20%, on top of the 3.000 billion dollars expected to be exported in 2025, where 80% of shipments go to the People's Republic of China.
