The modernization of agricultural defense advances in the country with the consolidation of the self-control model applied to the productive sector. The Parliamentary Front of Agribusiness led the negotiations from the beginning of the process, in alignment with the Ministry of Agriculture and with representatives of the agribusiness, starting from the first drafts prepared in 2020. In the Chamber, the project received reports that pointed to the need to overcome old norms and increase the efficiency of inspection, in a scenario of greater demand and limited structure of the public service.
