Netherlands: Budget of the Frisian subsidy scheme for anti-wolf measures increased

Since November, Frisian animal keepers have been able to receive a subsidy before purchasing wolf-resistant fences. Previously this was afterwards. The scheme had already been expanded in November for holders of cattle, horses and ponies. Now holders of alpacas and pigs can also use the subsidy scheme, as is also the case in the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel. In addition to the subsidy scheme, the province is working with BIJ12, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and the other provinces on an updated interprovincial wolf plan.
