REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Perum Bulog partners with Village/Neighborhood Cooperatives (Kopdes) Merah Putih to strengthen food distribution to the farthest corners of the country in order to maintain national food sovereignty and ensure price affordability for all social strata.
“This synergy is not merely a logistical collaboration, but part of a people's economic movement that places cooperatives as the forefront in national food distribution,” said Perum Bulog Business Director, Febby Novita, in Jakarta, Monday (25/8/2025).
Febby said the strategic partnership with Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (KDKMP) in various regions is a concrete commitment in the spirit of building Indonesia from the outskirts and strengthening national food resilience.
One concrete example of this synergy occurs in Tarakan, North Kalimantan. Bulog Tarakan Branch actively supports KDKMP Selumit Tarakan Branch in ensuring the distribution of rice and other staple foodstuffs to communities in coastal and border areas.
