(Busan=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Sun-ho = The Busan Institute of Health and Environment announced on the 4th that all agricultural products supplied to schools and other group dining facilities for the new school term have passed safety inspections. This inspection was conducted focusing on food ingredients that are frequently used in group dining facilities. From the 9th of last month, over a period of five days, 20 agricultural products were collected and subjected to detailed analysis for 480 types of residual pesticides and heavy metals. The items analyzed included 14 items such as lettuce, spinach, green onions, and cabbage, 2 items such as oyster mushrooms and king oyster mushrooms, 1 item of potatoes, 2 items of rice, and 1 item of bean sprouts. The analysis results showed that all agricultural products were within the permissible limits.
