Business opportunities with the arrival of Mexican vanilla to the Peruvian jungle

Thousands of Peruvian producers and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to diversify their crops and venture for the first time into the production of one of the most consumed spices with the highest commercial value internationally: vanilla. This will be possible, thanks to the efforts of the PERU-Hub project that, after two years of negotiations, managed to bring natural Mexican vanilla stems to our country. PERU-Hub is an initiative of the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in alliance with North American universities (Purdue, Oklahoma and Utah) and the international research center Bioversity- CIAT.
