Oregano is positioning itself as an important economic driver in the south of the country. The Oregano Business Wheel in Tacna, organized by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) through Agromercado, concluded with purchase expectations exceeding S/6.7 million, as a result of more than 100 business meetings between producer organizations from Tacna and Moquegua, and leading companies in the sector. Among the main buyers are Lopesa Industrial and Comver Alimentos SAC, with purchase intentions valued at S/1.6 million each, followed by Import Export B&M S.A.C., with estimated commitments of S/1.4 million. Additionally, companies such as Agroindustrial R&M SAC, Northern Horizon Industries SAC, Novos Distribución y Exportación del Perú SAC, Aromático Inversiones, and Foodspice Group SAC participated, consolidating a favorable scenario for southern producers.
