Cabbage becomes the most expensive vegetable in the borscht set: how much does a kilogram cost in Ukraine

In Ukraine, there is currently a limited supply of high-quality white cabbage. Prices for the vegetable continue to grow rapidly. Analysts of the EastFruit project noted that last week the price of high-quality white cabbage in Ukraine started at 22 UAH/kg ($0.52/kg) from farmers, but now vegetable producers are ready to sell it for 25-35 UAH/kg ($0.60-0.84/kg). Current prices are on average 16% higher than at the end of the last working week. It is noted that farmers are in no hurry to sell cabbage, because they expect further growth in vegetable prices, so the supply is currently limited. At the same time, wholesale companies are interested in purchasing cabbage and are ready to increase purchase prices. It is worth noting that today the price of cabbage in Ukraine is already on average 3 times higher than in 2023. In Auchan, you can buy a vegetable for 34.90 UAH/kg.
