Ukraine: Cabbage has fallen sharply in price

At the beginning of the period of mass harvesting of cabbage, prices for this vegetable fell by 43% in a week. A wave of cucumbers, which grew after the heat, knocked down the price by 50%. This is evidenced by AgroTimes monitoring data. Thus, at the largest wholesale market of Western Ukraine "Shuvar", located in Lviv, cabbage fell in price from 14 to 8 UAH/kg in 7 days, and the price of cucumbers during this time decreased from 20 to 10 UAH/kg. The price of red ground tomatoes also fell - from UAH 18-23 to UAH 13-18/kg, cream tomatoes - from UAH 25 to 16/kg. Red greenhouse tomatoes cost UAH 20-25/kg, pink – UAH 23/kg, black – UAH 45/kg. At the same time, red sweet peppers rose in price from UAH 45 to UAH 55/kg, eggplants – from UAH 37-38/kg to UAH 45/kg.
