The Korea Rural Economic Institute and the Rural Development Administration have predicted the prices for certain vegetables and fruits in October. They anticipate that cabbage prices will significantly increase by 38.4% from last year, peaking at 15,000 won per 10 kg. This price surge is expected to be transient, with prices decreasing after the shipment of autumn cabbage. Radish and carrot prices are also expected to stay high. In contrast, apple and pear prices are projected to drop, with apples expected to decrease by 28.7-34.2% to 48,000-52,000 won per 10 kg, and pears by 25% to around 40,000 won per 15 kg.
