Call for water from Manisa for İzmir

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality provided approximately 57 million lira in agricultural support to 63 cooperatives and 1 agricultural chamber operating throughout the province. It was reported that the support was primarily planned with a focus on irrigation and water efficiency, considering the decreasing water resources and the water shortage experienced due to the transfer of water to Izmir. The protocol ceremony organized by Manisa Metropolitan Municipality in the BESOT Conference Hall was attended by Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Besim Dutlulu, municipal administrators, and cooperative representatives. Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Dutlulu noted that the water resources in the Manisa Plain were decreasing, and therefore, the agricultural supports were focused on irrigation infrastructure.
