Cambodian banana exports grow by 20%, prices remain stable.

While consolidating the Chinese market, Cambodia is actively exploring other export channels. Data from 2024 shows that the total export value of bananas was 138 million U.S. dollars, with 5% of the exports going to markets such as Japan, Vietnam, and South Korea, among which the Japanese market contributed 5.91 million U.S. dollars in export value, accounting for 4.28%. In 2025, the export volume to the Japanese market is expected to increase by 22%, and to South Korea by 35%. Kompong Thom province has become the core support for breaking into the high-end market.
