Vietnam imported between 3.5 million to 4 million tons of raw cashew nuts from countries such as Ghana, Indonesia, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Cote d'Ivoire. As the world's largest cashew nut processor and exporter, Vietnam accounts for nearly 80% of global production and has held this leading position for 16 consecutive years.
