Campaign to promote sustainable food systems for olive farms in South Sinai, Egypt

A research team from the Economic and Social Studies Division at the Desert Research Center began implementing the activities and events of the "Guidance Campaign to Support Sustainable Food Systems from Vegetable Oils in South Sinai Governorate" program in coordination with the General Administration of Sinai Research Stations and Ras Sudr Station to achieve sustainable development and activate the guidance role of research stations. Meetings were held with the executive leadership of the Agriculture Directorate in El Tur, the Agricultural Administration and the City Council in Ras Sudr, where a number of investors, small farmers, a number of heads of local and central agricultural cooperatives, and a number of tribal elders and sheikhs were interviewed.
