Carrot prices are gaining momentum: how much does the vegetable cost in Ukraine?

Selling prices for carrots in Ukraine continue to grow. The price increase is due to increased demand from wholesalers and retail chains. Analysts of the EastFruit project noted that since the beginning of this week, carrots have increased in price to 23-30 UAH/kg, ($0.55-0.71/kg), depending on the quality and volume of the batch, which is on average 15% more expensive than at the end of last week. Producers argue for the increase in prices in this segment with several reasons at once. First of all, the reduction in the supply of substandard products, since deliveries from unequipped warehouses have fallen to a minimum. At the same time, the demand for carrots remains quite high. It is also worth noting that some large farms, as before, store high-quality carrots, expecting further price increases.
